There are 5 days left to sign up for the 2009 Ficathon over at tealc_ficathon. There's been a lot of interest in it, so hopefully we'll have scads of great Teal'c fic to print out and take to the beach to read over the summer.

Please welcome new maintainers grav_ity and lovellama. I know they will do a great job with the community.

I'm very proud of this comm and all of the Teal'c Fic posted here over the years. Life is a little crazy for me right now, so I wanted to pass the reigns onto people that I know would do the comm and Teal'c justice.

Thanks to everyone who has posted to indicate they would be interested in taking part in the proposed 2009 Teal'c ficathon - the response has been far higher than I'd hoped for and definitely enough people to make it worthwhile!

The timeline for the 2009 tealc_ficathon is as follows:

Sign Up Period: March 1st - March 14th
Assignments Given: March 15th
Assignments Due: May 1st

Previous rules will apply, so don't forget to keep an eye on tealc_ficathon for the sign-up post!

moonshayde has kindly given me permission to see if anyone is interested in a re-run of the tealc_ficathon, which last took place in 2006, so hopefully she won't mind me also posting over here...

The rules would be the same as last time around - with gen, het and slash all equally welcome. The stories can be set in any season, or in the period of the movies, or be future fic, the choice is yours.

I'm also looking at using the same timeline, with sign-ups open for the first two weeks of March and stories due from May 1st 2009.

At this point I'm looking for expressions of interest, to see if the Teal'c love is still out there. Please leave a comment over there if you'd be interested in participating, by Sunday January 18th - all comments will be screened, so please let me know if you'd want to sign-up, while potential pinch-hitters are also welcome.

It's almost time for the 2008 Isis Awards!

For those who may not have heard of these awards, they were originally created to celebrate the less prolific het pairings in Stargate fanfiction. We wanted every author to be given a chance to shine, whether their chosen pairing was popular or not, and considering the success of these awards over the past few years, we feel that we've accomplished that goal.
